Guacamole is probably the most popular appetizer at your typical Mexican restaurant.

It’s great with chips, in a warm tortilla, on some toast or as a super tasty side dish with just about any main course.
The most authentic and traditional guacamole is also the most popular and really, really easy to make and so delicious! All you need is
– Avocados
– Jalapeno pepper or serrano peppers
– tomatoes
– onion
– cilantro
– lime juice
– garlic
– salt

#2 is how I like mine, but with #1 avocado not too creamy or all chunky.
I like to marinate the fine chopped serrano peepers ,in the fresh lime juice , as prep before adding to the guacamole.
That's just a smashed up avocado with a little seasoning. Guacamole needs at least some chile and some lime juice. I like mine with serrano, a little green and red onion, tomato, and some cilantro.
Smashed avocados don't have anything added to them, as soon as you add anything to it, then it's guacamole. 😉 That's my opinion. 🍐Both are delicious, and I'm so glad I found your page. I would love to eat any of them with Juanitas tortilla chips. Those are the best tortilla chips, they stay fresh forever and have just the right crisp.
Serrano peppers have a wonderful flavor. I love them.
I squeeze the avocado out then add a little olive oil, salsa picante and salt. Mash and that's the way they do it in Reynosa, Mexico. Everybody loves it
Oh I forgot a hint of lemon juice or lime juice and I mean just a hint
… and not a single mole was whacked in the whole video.
Smooth Guacamole is my favorite
I applaud your use of a fire hydrant for chef safety!
I make it with the Pico it is my husband and my favorite. My husband refused to eat avocado, he said he didn't like the taste and texture, until I got him to try my guacamole. He begs me to make it all the time now.
I like Terry’s guacamole ! I can’t handle the heat so this year I bought Nadapeno Seeds no it’s a jalapeño with no heat but all the flavor. Yummy/Sabrosita.
I like to add a sprinkle of cumin and green onion in addition to some white onion. Of course, tomato, cilantro, etc. Sometimes, grocery stores where I live sneak in Fuerte avos instead of Haas. Not the same…
Great! New recipes to add to my 1 old regular one.
I really would like to see you making that Salsa you used for the third guacamole recipe 👌
I'm hungry 😅
Don't get me wrong, but that mustache looks like germs to me. It's me, I know just it drooping into your mouth is not hygienic
It's all gooooood!
I used to work a resort restaurant as a prep cook. WHen I made Guacamole, we added sour cream to the avocado and pico de gallo. Granted I was making 25 gallons at a time.
I agree with you. To me, that one recipe was just mashed avocado, not guacamole. 🙂
I’m with you pal, number two looks like the best 😍
We first dice up some white onion and serranos and soak them in lime juice for some time. Then dice some Roma tomatoes and cilantro. Add all of this to the smashed avocados and you have our northern version of guacamole.
Thanks Arnie 👍😋🥑
Thanks for sharing!
I go the traditional route and also add a little sugar.
i'm not a fan of tomatoes in guac. mine is just avocado, serrano, red onion, cilantro, lime, salt/pepper/garlic.
Once you mash the avocado and scoop to serve it, it's guacamole. What you add is up to you. If it's served in slices or dices, then it's still just avocado.
HATE TO SAY IT!!!!! Avacados taste like shit.
I love the idea of adding pico di gallo to it. That sounds very tasty! I agree there is no wrong way, except adding corn. That is an abomination
The magic ingredient to guacamole is Cumin.
The magic ingredient to guacamole is Cumin.
great looking gwack a mole!
A pinch of bouillon powder in your guac will really elevate it to another level. Just don't over do it.
Please, no jalapeños in guacamole.
