We apologize for the delay in today's upload. We hope you find this episode enjoyable. Feel free to comment and share your favorite clam recipe with us – or just say Hello!
I really enjoy your videos. I've purchased a couple of your books, and they are great as well. I hope you include more savory foods in future videos. I am also hoping that you add more information about freezing extra portions…(like the best way to freeze your cinnamon rolls). I appreciate the small details you
provide (like cooking the potatoes separately) that elevate the dishes. Thank you so much for all of your and your team's hard work!
homemade oyster crackers… you a mad lass
I wouldn't want to dox your family house but I grew up litterally down the street from this and have fond memories of doing exactly this and later having a clam grant with my father. It's great to see you doing this. It IS important to mention that you need a liscense and can only take quohogs over a certain size.
Claire is everything <3
I remember using my feet to feel for quahogs in Pleasant Bay on the Cape. You’re not alone in this. Love it.
"It's like… the ugliest flower" at the clam opening up lmao 😂
I had no idea clams got so big! This seems fun to try
I just watched the Apple cider doughnut episode where Claire uses the danish dough whisk. THEN YouTube autoplayed this one… weird flex YouTube algorithm.
My family is originally from Cranston, and it has been a while since everyone left the area BUT I don't remember anything as mamby pamby as a shellfishing license. I mean, grow a pair and get some clams, people. 😊
id love a mini series thats just you and the crew foraging for ingredients and making food with it. orchards and berries and mishroom hunting and such
Harris walking around like a grizzly bear with manners.
Harris……
I was thinking it the whole time. The crackers are always the boring part of clam chowder! xD Your clam chowder looks boss too! <3
mmmm steamed clams
I thought she was a lesbian
I love my Danish dough whisk. It's perfect for sourdough pancakes among other batters and doughs!
"Too much bacon " is blasphemy. There's no such thing
they let vinny speak <3
that is the biggest onion i have ever seen.
Get in the Water Harris 🙄
Would pancetta taste better than bacon?
Bacon is good but pancetta is just heaven
This was such a fun video to watch and the recipe looks delish. Inspired me and made me hungry! Haha
Hey Vinny, where can I buy your cookbook? 🤐
Yummy 😋! Fun! Blessings 💕🤗
Claire Saffitz clamming is everything..
How does she cut an onion (on camera no less) without crying? I weep, have to stop, dry my eyes and go on…..but sometimes I almost cannot do it. I am thinking of just buying already cut onions at the store. But I really like to use a fresh onion.
Clam liquid is crazy
Last time I made a clam chowder, I cut a bunch of scallops into 1/4ths and added that for a sweet little surprise. The texture of the scallops brought the scallops brought the same amount of joy as boba tea! Highly recommend trying that!
I think it would be fun for Claire and for us to do a knife skills video sometime, I absolutely love cooking and I don't mind the cutting process, but I always feel out of control with the knife and that I'm going to hurt myself. Not sure if that would be more for a Q&A video or if she could turn it into a Cooking Skills series. Some examples like: Different Knives and their uses, Different Pans and their uses, Difference between aromatics, etc.
P.S. I'm almost 100% positive that these examples and my questions have been answered in previous videos, but it'd be nice to have a series/q&a video to revert back to in case I or we ever needed a refresher
Harris seems like a bummer
I love you, Claire, but this is more work than I will ever do for a bowl of soup.
Is it just me, or does Claire need to leave Harris's negligent bacon frying ass?
Seeming like it’s like you’re just making a casual turkey sandwich. Meanwhile you’d be paying $150 for the meal!
Love the seafood seriesss yummm!
She was on Harris ass that day.
Your food has a certain enchantment to it. Although I admire your efforts, I was wondering if you could show KHAL viewers a video of you cooking.+.😍 😍😍😍
+++++++++++
Your life seems hard.
