An airport lounge is, by nature, part of the journey—not the final destination. But having access to one sure is convenient when you’ve got time to kill during a long layover. Free food and drinks, a fresh shower, and the ability to get away from the hustle and bustle of an airport can make a membership feel well worth the price. That, however, rings truer for some lounges than it does for others.
Over the summer, credit card company Capital on Tap analyzed 74 Priority Pass (a paid airport lounge membership program) lounges around the world in search of the best ones for business travelers, measuring both perks and client satisfaction. The team at Capital on Tap ranked the top 10 lounges by analyzing three main factors: number of amenities available in each lounge, how many hours they’re open per week, and whether they have a dress code (lounges with dress codes were scored lower). These insights were considered alongside each lounge’s Priority Pass member rating, a score out of five that was weighted more heavily than the other factors to “recognize the importance of customer satisfaction.”
Ultimately, Chase Sapphire Lounge by The Club at Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas came in at No. 1 in the U.S. (and third overall). Located in Terminal 1 on Concourse C, the lounge stood out for its high Priority Pass rating (4.7) and 15 amenities, including complimentary food and drinks, private bathrooms, high-speed Wi-Fi, and a champagne parlor with plush seating and complimentary sparkling wine. The lounge also offers craft cocktails, a curated wine list by New York City hot spot Parcelle, and seasonal menus from celebrity chef David Chang’s Momofuku restaurant group. It’s open from 4:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily, and does not require guests to adhere to a dress code.
