My Kitchen Rules judge Colin Fassnidge has taken aim at Meghan Markle after she featured on rival cooking program MasterChef Australia last month.

The 52-year-old celebrity chef attended the 66th TV WEEK Logie Awards on Sunday evening, where he gave his thoughts on the Duchess of Sussex’s guest appearance on the Channel Ten series.

The Seven star joked to Daily Mail on the red carpet that My Kitchen Rules would never invite the 45-year-old royal onto the cooking program.

“We are MKR…” he told the publication, adding: “We don’t allow people of non-royalty onto our show!”

He then doubled down on his stance regarding the former Suits actress, telling the Mail: “Whatever floats your boat… she is not in my boat!”

Now, News24 host Danica De Giorgio has weighed in on Fassnidge’s comments about the Montecito royal, chiming in with the food expert and offering a takedown of her own.

“She’s not in any of our boats actually. The only boat that she floats is Harry’s, though I think he’s taking on water and sinking on the daily out in the waters of Montecito,” she quipped on Tuesday.

Prince William likely to strip Harry and Meghan of their royal titles when he becomes King

Elsewhere on the Logies red carpet, MasterChef Australia judge Sofia Levin shut down speculation that Prince Harry’s FaceTime cameo was “contrived”, exclusively telling News24.com.au that the controversial moment during Meghan’s guest appearance was entirely unscripted.

“It was very real,” Levin, 36, said when asked about the Duke of Sussex’s dial-in.

“It was so real that usually they tell us what’s going to happen in advance – they didn’t tell us.”

She added that the moment was so unexpected that the cast initially thought there was a “security breach” during filming.

“The bit that probably didn’t make it into that edit was Poh [Ling Yeow’s] and my … faces, because we thought there had been a security breach.

“If someone sort of interrupts like that [that’s what you assume].”

However, when the cast saw Harry’s face on the screen, they “sort of figured out” what was going on, Levin claims.

“Afterwards we [said to Meghan], ‘You totally should have told us’,” she said, adding: “[It was] not planned from where I was standing.”
