Must See Trailer for Sushi Chef Action Anime ‘Get Jiro’ on Adult Swim

“In the end, judgement comes for all of us.” Adult Swim has unveiled their first official trailer for a new late-night adult animated series called Get Jiro, based on the graphic novels by Anthony Bourdain & Joel Rose. It’s a full-on, hyper-violent action anime series in English featuring a stoic sushi chef master working in a brutal near-future Los Angeles, who is caught in the middle of some crazy restaurant war. His sushi joint is even located right in a classic LA strip mall ha. Of course this seems inspired by the real sushi maestro Jiro (seen in the doc Jiro Dreams of Sushi also a genuine legend). In a future LA controlled by elite chefs, a sushi master named Jiro gets embroiled in a vicious culinary conflict, seeking vengeance through his cooking skills amidst the cutthroat restaurant scene. Starring the voice of Brian Tee as Jiro, with Titus Welliver, Alison Pill, and Justin Kirk. Maybe it’s a bit cheesy but this footage is legit cool and looks like the perfect stoner late night anime to watch right when the fresh order of sushi arrives. And don’t forget: no soy sauce!
