Bhog Indian Restaurant in Somerset, New Jersey, has appointed Chef Nar Singh as Assistant Sous Chef, bringing nearly 14 years of food and beverage experience across India and the United States, with expertise in Indian curry and tandoor cuisine.
Singh’s career spans hospitality properties and Indian restaurants, where he has developed experience in kitchen operations, traditional Indian cooking techniques, food preparation and quality standards. His international experience has also given him exposure to multicultural dining environments and evolving diner preferences.
Before joining Bhog, Singh worked with Chote Nawab (Jashan by Dhaba) in the United States, where he was involved in curry and tandoor operations. His India experience includes Shangri-La, Bengaluru, where he specialised in Indian curry, as well as The Leela Bhartiya City and Shangri-La, Connaught Place.
At Bhog, Singh will support kitchen operations, menu execution and quality control while contributing to the development of Indian dishes for a diverse customer base. His appointment comes as Indian cuisine continues to gain visibility in international markets, creating opportunities for chefs with expertise in regional flavours and traditional cooking methods.
With experience across hotels, restaurants, curry kitchens and tandoor operations, Singh will bring his culinary knowledge and kitchen experience to his new role while continuing his professional development in the US hospitality industry.
