A GoFundMe page has been started to aid chef Brady Duhame, a Saratoga Springs native known for his work at The Patio at 15 Church, Sperry’s Restaurant, Jack’s Oyster House and his own venture Buddha Noodle, among others, with paying for hospice care and other end-of-life treatments.
The fundraiser, created on Monday, has already garnered more than $10,000 of its $28,000 goal.
On the fundraiser page, the organizer, Meagean Zeim, said of Duhame: “A Saratoga Springs native and beloved member of our culinary community, Brady has spent decades bringing people together through food, friendship, and generosity.
“Now, his friends, colleagues, and the Saratoga community are coming together to support him. The costs of medical treatment, hospice, and end-of-life care continue to add to an already difficult time. We hope to help ease that burden for Brady and his loved ones.”
Duhame has been undergoing several medical treatments for cancer and its effects for years. He underwent a double mastectomy for breast cancer in February of 2022, but a port implanted for chemotherapy treatment following the surgery was infected and developed into sepsis, according to a 2022 story by Steve Barnes. A GoFundMe page for Duhame’s medical treatment then collected $32,000.
