The Confederation of Tourism & Hospitality (CTH), United Kingdom, recognises the contribution of Chef Vivek Saggar, General Secretary of the Indian Culinary Forum (ICF), Brand Ambassador – CTH, UK, and Mentor to the International Institute of Gastronomy, Government of Nepal, for his participation in a culinary record celebrating the diversity of Indian cuisine.
Chef Vivek Saggar was among 100 chefs who participated in “The World’s Largest Raita Mahotsav: 500 Varieties Prepared by 100 Chefs”, held on 21 September 2026 at Hotel Omega, Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh.
The achievement has been formally recognised by the London Book of World Records, which presented Chef Vivek Saggar with a Certificate of Participation acknowledging his contribution to the preparation and showcase of 500 varieties of Raita. The certificate, bearing Certification No. LBOWRE6050561E, recognises the participating chefs for celebrating the richness and diversity of Indian cuisine.
Showcasing the diversity of Raita
Raita, an integral component of Indian cuisine, represents the country’s culinary diversity through its regional ingredients, flavours, preparation techniques and cultural traditions. Bringing together 100 chefs for an initiative showcasing 500 varieties represents a celebration of this culinary heritage.
Chef Vivek Saggar’s participation further reflects his continuing involvement in initiatives that promote Indian culinary excellence, professional chef development, gastronomy education and international collaboration.
As General Secretary of the Indian Culinary Forum and Brand Ambassador of CTH, UK, Chef Saggar continues to contribute to the development and visibility of India’s professional culinary community. His role as a mentor to the International Institute of Gastronomy, Government of Nepal, also reflects his engagement with culinary education and hospitality development beyond India.
