Gordon Ramsay has been spending quite a bit of time in Minnesota lately, and it looks like his restaurant tour isn’t over yet.
The celebrity chef has now made another stop, this time at Maggie’s Family Restaurant in Wayzata.
AN EXTENDED STAY FOR CHEF RAMSAY?
If you thought Gordon Ramsay was finished making the rounds in Minnesota, think again. The celebrity chef has now made another stop in the state, and this time he landed in Wayzata.

Ramsay has been popping up at Minnesota restaurants over the past few weeks, and his latest stop was Maggie’s Family Restaurant in Wayzata. The restaurant was closed to the public from September 18th through September 22nd, and when it reopened, customers were greeted with a brand new look.
And while Maggie’s never publicly announced that Ramsay was coming, the secret didn’t stay a secret for long.
THE PRODUCTION TRUCKS WERE SPOTTED
People in Wayzata spotted production trucks, television equipment, and crew members around the restaurant while Ramsay was in town. Residents even gathered outside hoping to catch a glimpse of the famous chef.
WHY MAGGIE’S?
Maggie’s is a pretty interesting choice for Ramsay’s Minnesota restaurant tour because this isn’t some brand-new restaurant trying to make a name for itself. It’s my understanding that Maggie’s has been part of Wayzata since 1979. It was started by Nick Homan and is now operated by his son, Scott Homan. The restaurant serves breakfast all day, along with lunch, pizza, and Italian and American dinners.
And this is now the third Minnesota restaurant connected to Ramsay’s filming.
HAS ANYONE STOPPED BY LAKE CAFE IN BUFFALO SINCE RAMSAY?
First came Lake Cafe in Big Lake. The longtime family-owned restaurant closed for several days while filming took place and reopened with a smaller menu that included new items Ramsay helped put together. The restaurant’s co-owner confirmed Ramsay was there but said the family could not share many details because of a nondisclosure agreement.

WHAT ABOUT ‘THE PIZZA FACTORY’ IN ST. PAUL?
Then Ramsay showed up at ‘The Pizza Factory’ in North St. Paul.
That restaurant also closed for several days while filming was underway, and yesterday (Wednesday, September 23rd) went on to say that they had to push the opening back by one more day because, with all the new equipment, they are waiting on their inspection before they can open their doors. However, it IS expected to open today.
The Pizza Factory’s social media comments included plenty of people asking about their favorite menu items that didn’t appear to make the cut. The restaurant says that just because something isn’t on the menu right now doesn’t mean it is gone forever, and that honoring the history of the Pizza Factory is still important.
HAS RAMSAY COMPLETED HIS MINNESOTA TOUR OF DUTY?

Has anyone spotted Gordon elsewhere? Make sure you let us know.
News reports say the production company has not publicly identified the show being filmed here. Plenty of speculation suggests the Minnesota restaurants could be connected to a new installment of one of Ramsay’s current restaurant shows, but that hasn’t been officially confirmed.
THIS IS WHAT WE KNOW
What we DO know is that Gordon Ramsay’s production team has been really busy in Minnesota since their arrival.
In Wayzata, producers were reportedly interested in getting footage around downtown Wayzata and Lake Minnetonka, including the area’s scenery and even a sailing event. That suggests the Minnesota locations could be more than just restaurant makeovers and may include footage showing off the communities themselves.
I guess we will find out soon enough, but I’m starting to wonder where Gordon Ramsay is going to pop up next. If you see a bunch of television trucks outside your favorite Minnesota restaurant, you might want to take a closer look and send me a quick email so I can check it out. Gordon Ramsay could be inside. kelly.cordes@townsquaremedia.com. (Thanks!) 😉
