NEW YORK – Twenty-five years after it first put aspiring chefs through the culinary wringer, “Hell’s Kitchen” is celebrating a milestone season with a new generation of competitors who grew up watching the show.
The unscripted series follows chefs as they compete in a series of demanding challenges for the chance to become the ultimate winner. Contestants are divided into two teams at the start of the season, with women on the red team and men on the blue team.

For its 25th season, which premieres Thursday, the show is putting a new spin on its milestone. The contestants are all 25 or younger, with Ramsay searching for a young chef who could become his protégé.

The season was filmed, once again, at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, Connecticut, which is home to one of Ramsay’s Hell’s Kitchen restaurants.
The anniversary season will also look back at the show’s history, featuring former winners, memorable challenges, celebrity guests and culinary figures, as well as an anniversary dinner.

The winner will receive a $250,000 cash prize and a head chef position at Ramsay’s Hell’s Kitchen restaurant at Foxwoods.
