The third annual Manhattan Beach Food & Wine Festival took place on Friday and Saturday, Sept. 25-26, at the Westdrift Manhattan Beach hotel.
Nearly 50 top chefs took part in the two-day event, with about 10 chefs coming from the South Bay.
The sold-out event had 3,000 attendees over both evenings, public relations firm Lawrence Moore & Associates said in a Monday, Sept. 28, email.

The event, founded by Shelby Russell, has a mission to support the nonprofit Careers Through Culinary Arts Program — also known as C-Cap — which helps underprivileged students who want to pursue the culinary arts by providing mentorships and scholarships.
