Chef Paul Chuanchaisit, formerly the chef in residence at Cardinale du Vin, will be doing a pop-up as Hangry Thaiger at Sawtelle Sake on Friday, October 2, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. at 1836 Sawtelle Boulevard.
Chef Paul has returned from the East Coast, and this à la carte menu, in tandem with Sawtelle Sake, is his first appearance in months on the Westside.
The à la carte menu is as follows:
Peruvian scallop $16, seafood sauce, Thaiger crunch (4 pieces)
Tom Kha hamachi tart $16, Tom khao foam, smoked trout roe (4 pieces)
Beef satay $15, peanut sauce, Thai pickles, 3 skewers
Braised beef boat noodles $15, egg noodles, beef ball
Thai tea Basque cheesecake ice cream $5
Fire the board $60, one of everything, so you can take some home.
Chef Paul will also have two of his kitchen staple products available at the pop-up: his Thaiger Crunch, his ultimate chili crunch, and his Thaiger chips for sale at Sawtelle Sake. Obviously, there will be sake available for purchase as well.
