Hapag-Lloyd Cruises will feature three-Michelin-starred chef Kevin Fehling aboard EUROPA on 7 selected cruises in 2027. Fehling will welcome guests to his onboard restaurant, THE GLOBE, where his contemporary cuisine combines fine dining with influences drawn from his travels and maritime experience.
Fehling’s association with EUROPA dates back ~25 years, when he worked on board as a ship’s cook. He has operated THE GLOBE for 7 years, bringing his culinary concept to the company’s luxury cruise ship. Ashore, he runs The Table in Hamburg’s HafenCity, which retained its three Michelin stars for the 11th time in June 2026.
THE GLOBE’s concept draws on Fehling’s personal experiences and the international character of travel. Its menu combines refined presentation with layered flavours, while the restaurant’s interior incorporates celestial-inspired lighting and photographs reflecting the chef’s journeys. Guests also receive a personal welcome letter introducing his culinary philosophy and travel experiences.
Lisa Wilken, head of luxury cruises at Hapag-Lloyd Cruises, noted that gourmet dining was a central element of the EUROPA experience. She highlighted Fehling’s 7-year partnership with the ship and the opportunity for passengers to meet the chef and experience his cuisine in person.
During the 2027 season, Fehling will be on board for selected dates across 7 voyages, allowing guests to experience THE GLOBE with the chef present.
An early-booking discount will be available on specified cruises departing between May and September 2027. The offer applies to bookings made by October 31st, 2026.
