The £5 Pink Wednesdays at Pho include a new pink dipping sauce

A Nottingham restaurant has launched Pink Wednesdays with £5 deals. Anyone who visits Vietnamese restaurant Pho, in Hockley, will unlock the offer but there’s just one catch — they must be wearing pink.

Baby pink or vibrant fuchsia, it doesn’t matter, they can enjoy a range of select dishes for a fiver, including spring and summer rolls, chicken wings, ice cream and sorbet, plus a spicy pink margarita infused with dragon fruit and Thai chillies.

Pho, in Carlton Street, is also unveiling a pink-coloured sriracha hot sauce, made with hibiscus and premium-quality white Thai chillies grown in the north of the country.

Partnering with SABZU, the Thai condiment brand by Bamboomart, the sauce gives an initial fruity note before finishing with a deliciously spicy heat, making it perfect for dipping Pho’s starters.

The offer will be on every Wednesday until the end of August. Dan Pathomvanich, CEO of Bamboomart, said: “Our partnership with Pho marks an exciting milestone for SABZU as we introduce the world’s first-ever Pink Sriracha sauce exclusively across the UK.

“We believe Pink Sriracha perfectly captures today’s appetite for bold, playful flavours while staying true to authentic Thai ingredients, and we are proud to bring this exclusive collaboration to life with one of the UK’s most loved Vietnamese restaurant brands.”
