University of Georgia’s fall semester just kicked off, and local restaurants are excited to welcome students back to Athens. There will be new menu items and opportunities for student deals.
Chick-fil-A
Beechwood, Barnett Shoals, Tate Center and Downtown locations
What: The first 50 college students to purchase a meal at any of these four locations will receive a week’s worth of free Chick-fil-A.
Also, college students with an ID can get a free chicken sandwich or dessert with the purchase of a meal every Thursday night this semester.
Chick-fil-A encourages students to bring their friends and arrive early because the first 50 spots will go fast!
When: Thursday, Aug. 20 is the kick-off with the chance to win free Chick-fil-A. Students can line up at 4:30 p.m., and the event starts at 5 p.m.
Paloma Park
235 W. Washington St.
What: Wine Down Wednesdays are back at Paloma Park! Every Wednesday house wine is $12 per bottle.
When: Starting Wednesday, Aug. 19 and continuing on Wednesdays throughout the school year.
Sunroof Coffee
198 College Ave. and 175 Tracy St.
What: Sunroof is offering free vanilla cold foam on any drink at both locations in honor of school starting back.
When: Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 175 Tracy St. and 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 198 College Ave.
Bruxie
311 E Broad St.
What: Bruxie is serving a Lemon Cream & Berries Shake, combining blueberries, raspberries and creamy frozen custard with a hint of lemon. The shake is topped with whipped cream and fresh berries. This frozen drink is a great way to cool off during the heat of August.
When: Available for the month of August.
Farm Burger
100 Prince Ave.
What: Farm Burger is serving a new Farm Salad, featuring locally-sourced lettuces, arugula, cucumbers, seasonal tomatoes and radishes sprinkled with a crispy red onion crumble, local goat cheese and a lemon basil vinaigrette.
– The Farm Salad as a side is $4.99.
– The Farm Salad as a meal is $10.50.
– The Farm Salad entree with a patty of your choice (beef, chicken, pork, vegan, BEYOND) is $16.25.
