Érick Jacquin: From the French Countryside to the Sophisticated Les Présidents

The chef was born in 1964 in France and moved to Brazil at the age of 30. Since then, Érick Jacquin has helped establish French haute cuisine in the country, in addition to appearing on the shows *MasterChef Brasil* and *Pesadelo na Cozinha*.

The opening of Les Présidents in 2019 marked a new chapter in his career. After stints at places like La Brasserie, Jacquin once again took the helm of a restaurant bearing his name, featuring his recipes, and embodying his identity.

The goal was to showcase French cuisine in a sophisticated setting reminiscent of traditional bistros, but with a touch of Jacquin’s personal style. As a result, the dining room features a collection of the chef’s personal mementos, and the open kitchen allows guests to watch the team at work up close.

An authentically French meal

The menu at Les Présidents features traditional French flavors, prepared with the techniques and ingredients of haute cuisine. Among the house classics are duck, seafood, prime cuts of beef, and special sauces.

One of the highlights is the langoustine ravioli, served with vegetables and a Sauternes emulsion with ginger. To sample a classic dish, be sure to order the duckmagret or the boeuf bourguignon, which evoke fond memories of French cuisine. Finally, the crème brûlée is the perfect dessert to round out your “Parisian” experience.

You can also opt for the tasting menu, which offers an eight-course meal with the option of wine pairings. A complete experience that helps you understand why Les Présidents is one of Jacquin’s most renowned French restaurants in São Paulo!
