Square Peg Pizzeria, the Connecticut wood-fired pizza chain, will be moving into the location of a Bolton pizzeria that will be closing its doors this week.
ParkSide Pizza & Ice Cream will close down its operations on Saturday, Aug. 22 after six years of business. The business announced that Square Peg Pizzeria will be taking over the space and retaining most of its current employees.
“This restaurant has been so much more than a place to eat. It has been a gathering place for friends, families, celebrations, first dates, birthdays, cruise nights and countless memories. We’ve had the incredible privilege of being part of so many of your lives, and for that, we will be forever grateful,” a post of the restaurant’s Facebook page states. “While closing this chapter is incredibly difficult, we are choosing to focus on the memories, the friendships and the community that made Parkside Pizza & Ice Cream so special.”
ParkSide Pizza & Ice Cream said that announcements regarding the grand opening of Square Peg Pizzeria will be available on the ParkSide and Square Peg social media pages.
Square Peg Pizzeria has multiple locations around the state including Storrs, Vernon, Shelton, Preston, Glastonbury, East Hartford, Plainville and Berlin as well as Delray Beach, Fla. The chain is best known for its wood-fired, thin-crust and Detroit-style pizzas, pastas, sandwiches and cocktails.
