Brazilian Table, a family-owned restaurant and specialty market in downtown Lititz, has received a $30,000 Enhancement Grant through the Backing Small Businesses program, according to a news release from Venture Lititz.
The restaurant was one of 25 small businesses nationwide selected for the grant, which is supported by American Express and Main Street America, the release said.
The award follows an earlier $10,000 grant Brazilian Table received through the same program. After completing the initial phase, the business was invited to compete for additional funding and was selected from applicants across the country to receive the enhancement grant.
According to the release, the funding will be used to support improvements designed to help the business expand operations and enhance the customer experience.
Brazilian Table, which opened in August 2022, offers authentic Brazilian cuisine, baked goods, coffee, imported grocery items and specialty products from its downtown location.
“We are incredibly proud of Brazilian Table for receiving this national recognition,” Venture Lititz Executive Director Sam Thrush said in the release. “To be selected by American Express and Main Street America from businesses across the United States is an extraordinary accomplishment.”
The Backing Small Businesses program was launched in 2021 to help locally significant small businesses make physical improvements, expand operations and strengthen long-term resilience, according to the release.
Venture Lititz said in the release that the award highlights the continued national recognition of independent businesses in the borough and underscores the role locally owned businesses play in supporting Lititz’s downtown economy.
