HOLLYWOOD, Fla. (CBS12) — The steaks are dressed. The diners aren’t. A South Florida steakhouse is hosting monthly clothing-optional dinners that city officials say are legal.
Class Soiree Steakhouse in Hollywood hosts the event once a month, where diners eat without clothing while restaurant employees remain fully clothed.
Chef and owner Maurad Ali told WPLG he came up with the idea to stand out and attract new customers.
Before dinner, guests change in the restaurant’s restroom.
“They disrobe pretty much here,” Ali said, gesturing toward the bathroom next to the restaurant’s 14-seat communal table.

The events typically attract about 20 guests, including men and women, some single and some in relationships, according to Ali.
He said the dinners are intended to provide a welcoming space for people interested in the experience
“It’s more so of a gathering to get to know people, new people in the city and the lifestyle,” said hostess Tashaeba Hart, explaining the dinners are about more than the novelty.
The nude dining experience costs between $150 and $300 per person.
The City of Hollywood told WPLG that the events are legal because restaurant employees remain clothed.
