ANDERSON, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – An Anderson restaurant is addressing the community after a woman was charged with shooting someone in the leg at the establishment on Saturday.
Louie’s Bar and Grill along Electric City Boulevard said that the isolated domestic dispute happened before its security officer arrived.
“Our hearts and prayers are with everyone involved and the families affected by this terrible event,” Louie’s Bar and Grill shared over social media.
The restaurant shared that while it understands the community’s concerns, “hurtful comments and speculation only add to an already painful situation.”
The restaurant continues: “We respectfully ask that everyone avoid spreading unverified information and keep discussions respectful toward those affected, our staff, and our business.”
Shooting details
Deputies reported that they were called to the incident at Louie’s Bar and Grill around 4:20 p.m. on Saturday in reference to a shooting. It was determined that the incident stemmed from a verbal altercation in the restaurant, and that one victim was shot in the leg before being taken to AnMed.
Officials said that 32-year-old Kadijah Tysheea Smith was charged with the following:
Assault and battery, high and aggravatedPossession of a weapon during a violent crimePossession of a firearm or ammunition of a convicted felon

According to the Anderson County Bond Court Magistrate’s Office, Smith was granted a combined $30,000 surety bond on all three charges. As of Tuesday morning, she remains in custody.
Deputies believe this was an isolated, domestic incident.
