Several mom-and-pop coffee shops that started in Jersey City have opened a second location in Hoboken, and vice versa. This month, Sober Shot, a unique beverage spot in downtown Jersey City, opened its Hoboken site. The new spot — a grab-and-go location on the city’s main drag — focuses on crafted beverages with ingredients including Japanese matcha, Nutella, and butterfly pea flower. Forum Coffee
Speaking of Hoboken and Jersey City coffee spots that are expanding, Forum Coffee has been doing just that in North Jersey. The group of shops, with ten locations in the Garden State, specializes in a range of coffee beverages, such as a creme brûlée latte singed with a blowtorch. Last week, they were asked to open in the lobby of the Sable (formerly Urby) residential tower in Jersey City, Forum’s owner told Patch. The company moved quickly to set up shop in the spot, located at 200 Greene St., near the Harborside light rail stop. The Sable lobby has workspaces and even newspapers to read while you sip your coffee. You can find out more about the newest location of Forum here.
