A space that had been a mainstay of Hudson Riverfront dining is slated to spring back to life sometime next year as Mastro’s Steakhouse is opening their first outpost in New Jersey.
The brand, which operates about 20 restaurants across the United States, is taking over the restaurant space at 1700 Harbor Boulevard. The property had played host to the Chart House for many years, which was known as a “special occasion” spot.
Mastro’s Steakhouse will continue that tradition at the address, which offers panoramic, unobstructed views of Midtown Manhattan. The company has already set up a coming soon page for the Weehawken outpost on their website.
Owned by the Landry’s brand of hospitality and restaurants, Mastro’s Steakhouse specializes in USDA Prime steaks that are wet-aged for 28 days, cooked in a 1,500-degree broiler, and served on 450-degree plate. The restaurant is also set to offer premium seafood and raw bar options, creative sushi, and decadent desserts that include their warm Butter Cake.
Mastro’s Steakhouse locations all offer nightly music and entertainment, a tradition that will be coming to the Weehawken location. An exact opening date has not been announced just yet, beyond the desire to have the Harbor Boulevard restaurant up and running during 2027.
