Indian classics get a contemporary treatment at Zyqa, the 40-seater restaurant at Aauris Hotel in Kolkata’s Park Street area. Open since August 2022, the restaurant focuses on familiar flavours presented through modern techniques and plating.
The menu opens with contemporary takes on chaat and Indian appetisers, including Avocado Dahi Puri, Palak Quinoa Chaat, Papad ki Tokri and Matar Ragda Pitti. The tandoor section features Murgh Malai Kebab, Murgh Reshmi Kebab and Nawabi Seekh Dilbahar, alongside vegetarian options such as Paneer Makhmali.
Among the main courses are Zyqa Dal Makhni, Murgh Makhani, Bhuna Gosht and Rogan Josh. Desserts include Baked Mihidana with Kesaria Rabri, Mini Gulab Jamun with Baked Cheesecake and Pineapple Rabri, and Nolen Gur Ice Cream.
The drinks menu includes cocktails such as Beer Kranti, made with filter coffee, vanilla and craft beer, along with a Chai Cinnamon Negroni, Tamarind Margarita and Kachi Kairi Mule.
Zyqa is open from noon to 11pm, with a meal for two costing around Rs 1,500. Takeaway and delivery through Swiggy and Zomato are also available.
