Texas Roadhouse, the restaurant chain known for its hand-cut steaks and pillowy yeast rolls, is set to swing open the doors on another Charlotte-area restaurant this fall.

The new eatery will debut at 13425 Rigsby Road in Steele Creek, near the Charlotte Premium Outlets, with an estimated Nov. 9 opening, according to its website.

It’s slated to create 220 jobs and will join the brand’s existing locations in Matthews, Concord, Gastonia, Rock Hill and Salisbury, the restaurant said in a news release. Kevin Allmon was listed as a managing partner.

The Louisville-based company filed a land development construction plan with the City of Charlotte this time last year, online records show. The Steele Creek project is already underway with completed landscaping and lighting, plus a shared parking agreement.

CharlotteFive reached out to Texas Roadhouse for more information on Friday and was awaiting a response.

The popular steakhouse chain serves a variety of beef cuts, usually on display in a glass case near the entrance. The menu also includes chicken and seafood dishes, plus burgers and “fall-off-the-bone” ribs.

For starters, there are fried pickles and boneless wings. And don’t forget the unlimited yeast rolls served with cinnamon honey butter.

Since launching in 1993, Texas Roadhouse has grown to more than 700 locations nationwide, its website says. Its other brands include Bubba’s 33 and casual burger joint Jaggers, which is slated to open in Concord, CharlotteFive reported.

Once open, the Texas Roadhouse in Steele Creek will serve dinner only Monday through Thursday from 3-10 p.m., and on Friday from 3-11 p.m. Lunch and dinner service will be available Saturday from noon-11 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m.-10 p.m.
