A popular Bay Area Mediterranean restaurant closed after 10 years of service. Oren’s Hummus permanently shut its Cupertino outlet. The restaurant team announced the closure on social media.
Cupertino’s Oren’s Hummus Bid Farewell
Oren’s Hummus restaurant chain was founded in 2011 on University Avenue in Palo Alto, California. Oren Dobronsky, with his wife Nancy, established the chain to serve fresh and original flavors of Mediterranean cuisine.
The restaurant chain is well known for serving 100% organic hummus, tahini, and pita bread, all prepared fresh throughout the day. It also offers locally sourced Angus beef, chicken, and organic eggs.
The location at 19419 Stevens Creek Blvd, Cupertino, Oren’s Hummus served its last meal on Friday, September 11, 2026.
In the post, the team said, “Please keep an eye out for our amazing Cupertino team members, many of whom will be transferring to our other Bay Area locations.”
The chain’s other outlets located in Los Gatos, Mountain View, Palo Alto, and San Francisco remain operational.
With an optimistic tone, the team added, “We’ve loved being a part of this vibrant community, and this is ‘see you later,’ not goodbye.”
CEO Addresses Cupertino Closure
Mistie Boulton, CEO and co-owner, shared a closure letter thanking the Cupertino community for its support over the past 10 years.
The CEO thanked the community and said, “Thank you, Cupertino, for welcoming us, supporting us, celebrating with us, and allowing us to be a part of your community.”
In the official announcement, Boulton also shared that the signature hummus of the restaurant will be available at local grocery stores by early 2027. “We can’t wait to bring the hummus you’ve loved in our restaurants into your homes. Stay tuned; there’s much more to come!” the statement continued.
The closure affects only the Cupertino location, while the chain’s other Bay Area restaurants remain open.
