CINCINNATI (WKRC) – Plant-based burger chain Slutty Vegan has signed a franchise agreement to bring a restaurant to Cincinnati, though its location and opening date have not been announced.

The Atlanta-based brand said the agreement is with Soul Republic Hospitality Group, led by Akin Affrica. The group also holds franchise rights for planned Slutty Vegan locations in Columbus and Cleveland, which are anticipated to open this fall.

“Cincinnati was always part of the plan for us,” said Affrica, Founder of Soul Republic Hospitality Group, in a media release. “After signing on for Cleveland and Columbus, we saw firsthand how much demand there is for this brand in Ohio. Adding Cincinnati was an easy decision. We know the market, we know the guest, and we are ready to bring that same energy here.”

The Cincinnati deal will make the region Slutty Vegan’s third Ohio market. Further details, including the address and opening timeline, will be announced as the restaurant moves through its buildout, the company said.

Slutty Vegan was founded in Atlanta in 2018 by entrepreneur Aisha “Pinky” Cole Hayes. Known for its plant-based burgers and high-energy customer experience, the company has expanded from a food truck into a national franchise brand.
