Las Vegas is arguably the steakhouse capital of the world. From the Strip to downtown, competition for the “best steak” title is fierce. According to a prestigious new global ranking, one restaurant stands above the rest.

Delmonico Steakhouse, the classic dining destination from Chef Emeril Lagasse located at The Venetian Resort, has been named to the World’s Best Steaks’ 50 Best Steak Restaurants in North America. Perhaps most shocking for a city with such a density of luxury dining? Delmonico was the only Las Vegas steakhouse to earn a spot on the 2025 list.

This isn’t a standard popularity contest. The annual ranking, released Dec. 1, is produced by 101 Best Steak Restaurants, a London-based global organization managed by Upper Cut Media House. Their evaluation process is rigorous, mirroring systems used by the World’s 50 Best Restaurants and Michelin.

The organization deploys 21 anonymous “Steak Ambassadors” to visit restaurants incognito. These inspectors score venues based on nine strict criteria, ranging from meat quality and cut selection to service expertise and interior design.

“We’re incredibly honored to be recognized among the best steakhouses in North America,” Chef Emeril Lagasse said of the win. “This accolade reflects the dedication of our team and their commitment to serving exceptional steak, wine and hospitality every day.”

Why Delmonico made the cut

While many Vegas steakhouses rely on flash and spectacle, Delmonico has maintained its status through culinary consistency and a unique “New New Orleans” flair.

Led by Chef de Cuisine Ivan Rojas, the kitchen is celebrated for its in-house dry-aging program and prime cuts. However, it is the infusion of Creole influence that is likely to have caught the inspectors’ attention. Signature dishes like the Barbecue Shrimp and Banana Cream Pie offer a distinct personality that separates it from the standard steakhouse mold.

A destination for whiskey lovers

It isn’t just the beef that is drawing international attention. The restaurant has cultivated a massive following for its beverage program, holding the Wine Spectator Grand Award for 15 consecutive years.

For spirits lovers, the draw is even stronger: the restaurant boasts a curated library of more than 700 whiskeys, making it one of the premier drinking destinations on the Strip. Travelers heading to Las Vegas, who want a steak dinner that ranks on the global stage, there is only one reservation to make.
