Prince Tea House is coming to 6403 N. Ninth Ave. this fall, bringing Pensacola an immersive tea house experience.
The café and restaurant will replace the original Siam Thai location, which has been vacant since the Thai restaurant relocated down the road to 7164 N. Ninth Ave. in early 2025. Prince Tea House took over the old space in December 2025, and the owners look forward to finally opening their doors for tea time this fall.
Prince Tea House’s owners have been working tirelessly over the past year to transform the space to offer an elegant, whimsical dining experience.
What is Prince Tea House?
Prince Tea House is based in New York, with the flagship Queens location opening in 2014. It has since grown to include cafes in other states, such as Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Virginia, Louisiana, Tennessee and Connecticut. Pensacola will be the concept’s first Florida location. It will be one of the company’s largest locations and one of the few to offer a full-service bar.
Teas are a must at the tea house. The company carefully sources and imports its teas from France, and serves them by the pot.
Beyond the teas, Prince Tea House also offers handmade desserts, such as its signature mille crepes cakes, which helped the Pensacola owners fall in love with the franchise.
The Pensacola shop will be considered more of a “tea house restaurant,” rather than the café locations that are typical outside of New York, allowing for more room.
Are all Prince Tea House locations exactly the same?
No, each location can vary the menu based on what it chooses to offer. For Pensacola’s shop, the owners will offer the signature teas and desserts that Prince is known for, as well as savory dishes and specialty cocktails.
The franchise allows for freedom on what add to the menu, allowing the local Prince to choose items that will make the location special to the Pensacola area.
What will be on Prince Tea House’s Pensacola menu?
The signature menu items listed on Prince Tea House’s main website include traditional fare, such as tea, scones and finger sandwiches, but also some surprises, such as waffles, takoyaki, a Japanese snack filled with diced octopus and made of wheat flour-based butter, and the Beef Sukiyaki Baguette, a sandwich made with marinated sliced beef and crispy onion.
The Pensacola café will feature the Prince signature items, as well as the team’s own creations. While the full range of offerings has not been finalized, the location could potentially offer both brunch and dinner menus.
The Pensacola Prince team traveled to New York to learn how to recreate the prized desserts in-house for Pensacola. Prince provides local restaurants with the ingredients and recipes that the franchise is known for, but desserts are made in-house at each shop to ensure freshness.
In addition to providing a quality everyday dining experience, the Pensacola owners plan to offer themed experiences for special events and celebrations, such as engagement parties.
Other locations, including the New Orleans location, feature desserts such as the strawberry shortcake parfait, green tea crème brulee, tiramisu, coconut panna cotta, passion fruit mousse cakes and much, much more.
Some other locations offer savory options as well, including beef sukiyaki sandwiches, katsu chicken brioche, crabmeat flatbread, egg Florentine Benedict and smoked salmon salad.
What is the décor style of Prince Tea House?
Pensacola’s shop is one of the company’s largest, and the owners were intentional about wanting to incorporate different themes throughout the restaurant, with mixed seating styles ranging from comfortable couches to smaller, proper seating areas.
The Pensacola cafe will be European-inspired, with plenty of florals, creating a whimsical, botanical feel. The tea house will match the brand’s aesthetics and incorporate features such as mirrored ceilings and private dining areas.
