A restaurant in South Windsor has announced their last day of service, according to the business website.
“With a heavy heart, we have made the difficult decision to close Lena’s restaurant operations, with our final day of service being September 26, 2026,” according to the website.
It marks the end of the restaurant’s long history in the town, which opened all the way back in 1982, according to the business website.
“Despite our continued efforts, ongoing kitchen staffing challengers have made it increasingly difficult to sustain our restaurant operations at the standards we expect,” according to Lena’s Restaurant & Bar.
“After careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to close operations at this time.”

“We sincerely thank our loyal customers, employees, and everyone who has supported Lena’s throughout its journey,” Lena’s Restaurant & Bar went on to say.
Customers say they enjoyed the restaurant for years.
“Such Delicious Food!!! First place my husband brought me to 14 years ago! We celebrated our 14th anniversary there tonight. Wonderful staff, incredible food and cozy” environment, one posted in a review.
Another wrote, “Went in for a quick lunch. I ordered a tomato basil slice and a pasta fagioli. Both hot and both really good. Was in a rush so so happy that I was in and out. Very nice visit.”
Lena’s Restaurant & Bar is located at 655 John Fitch Blvd in South Windsor.
