CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Nearly a decade after opening, Chubby Fish, located in Cannonborough/Elliotborough, will be accepting reservations for OpenTable Gold status diners starting October 13.
The James Beard-nominated restaurant and Charleston favorite is notorious for constant lines out the door, according to OpenTable.
The seafood hotspot also received major recognition after being named one of the “50 Best Restaurants in America” by the New York Times in 2025.
OpenTable Gold status diners can book tables via Gold Tables, a curated selection of hard-to-book tables in cities across the US.
For diners who don’t yet have Gold status, OpenTable says “let this be your extra motivation to complete six reservations in a year to unlock perks like access to Gold Tables, priority Notify me, and more.”

“After all, eating at Chubby Fish is unlike anything else,” OpenTable said.
