MAYFIELD HEIGHTS, Ohio (WOIO) – The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner has identified the 45-year-old Cleveland man fatally shot in a restaurant parking lot Friday, Oct. 2 and a suspect is being held on bond.
The victim is Al Rice II.
Rice was killed at Piada Italian Street Food in the 6000 block of Mayfield Rd. around 4 p.m. on Oct. 2.
Police were called to the restaurant for a report of shots fired.
When officers arrived, Rice was found in the parking lot.
He was transported to Cleveland Clinic Hillcrest Hospital, where he died from his injuries.

Mayfield Heights Police Chief Anthony Mele said Dae’Juan M. Moton, 24, of Euclid, is charged with one count of aggravated murder and two counts of attempted murder.

Moton appeared in front of Judge Dominic Coletta at the Lyndhurst Municipal Court for a bond hearing Monday, and has a bond set for $1 million.
Two other adults taken into custody at the scene, have been released.
According to Chief Mele, agents with the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) are assisting with the investigation.
