Champions Bring Their Appetites to Circa
Winning works up an appetite, and Barry’s Downtown Prime is getting plenty of championship company. Located inside Circa Resort & Casino in downtown Las Vegas, the steakhouse recently welcomed a lineup spanning bodybuilding, strength sports and the NFL. From Olympia celebrations to a post-victory dinner for Las Vegas Raiders players, Barry’s became the setting for athletes to unwind, refuel and enjoy a little well-earned spotlight. The competition may happen elsewhere, but the celebration clearly has a downtown address.
Nick Walker Celebrates With Some Serious Hardware
After his big Mr. Olympia win, Nick Walker brought his celebration to Barry’s Downtown Prime. The bodybuilding champion posed with his medal alongside chef Barry Dakake and Yassine Lyoubi, giving the restaurant its own victory photo opportunity. After the discipline and preparation required to compete at that level, a celebratory dinner offered a chance to enjoy the achievement. And with the medal making an appearance, there was no mistaking the occasion: this was a champion’s night out.
“The Mountain” Makes a Surprise Entrance
Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson, known to Game of Thrones fans as Ser Gregor “The Mountain” Clegane, brought his larger-than-life presence to Circa during Olympia week. The strength superstar even stopped by an executive meeting in owner Derek Stevens’ office to say hello. Stevens stands six feet tall, but next to Björnsson, even Circa’s owner looked small. It was the kind of unexpected cameo that could turn an ordinary business meeting into a memorable Vegas moment—no Iron Throne required.
Keone Pearson Makes It a Championship Date Night
Fellow Olympia standout Keone Pearson also stopped in to dine and refuel, joined by his fiancée, IFBB Pro powerlifter Amanda Kohatsu. The four-time Olympia 212 title winner added even more championship muscle to Barry’s guest list. With two accomplished athletes at the table, the visit brought a power-couple twist to the festivities. Between the competition, celebrations and photo opportunities, Barry’s had plenty of reasons to flex its reputation as a gathering place for athletes marking their biggest moments.
Raiders Take Their New Orleans Win Downtown
The Las Vegas Raiders kept the celebratory energy rolling following their win in New Orleans. The next night, Fernando Mendoza, Brock Bowers, Dylan Laube, Tyler Linderbaum, AJ Cole, Jackson Powers-Johnson, Tre Tucker and Michael Mayer gathered at Barry’s. Coming off a road victory, the players had a fitting reason to enjoy an evening together back in Las Vegas. Their visit brought a little Silver and Black spirit to the steakhouse and another winning team to the table.
The Celebration Continues Behind the Scenes
After dinner, the Raiders players headed into the kitchen for photos with Dakake and Lyoubi. Some of their wives and girlfriends joined the fun, turning the visit into a group celebration with the people behind the meal. From medals to football victories, the recent gatherings shared a common ingredient: athletes enjoying the moment after putting in the work. At Barry’s Downtown Prime, the guest list made a persuasive case that champions know exactly where to take their appetites.
