A popular nationwide steakhouse will begin building another location in Central Texas next year. LongHorn Steakhouse has set plans for a $3.8 million restaurant in Hutto, a Williamson County town about 30 miles north of Austin.

Hutto’s first LongHorn Steakhouse will be located at 2800 Innovation Blvd. Hutto, TX 78634, according to a recent Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation filing. This new LongHorn comes nearly a month after the company set plans for another new location off I-35 in the Austin area.

Including Hutto, Darden has now solidified plans for three new restaurants in the greater Austin region. Darden owns and operates more than 2,200 restaurants worldwide.

MySA reached out to a Darden representative for LongHorn Steakhouse for comment on the company’s new development. The scope of work for the project includes the new construction of a 5,780-square-foot full-service restaurant with associated site work and landscaping, per the TDLR.

Construction on the new LongHorn in Hutto is expected to begin on March 1, 2027 and is slated to be completed by August 15, 2027, according to the TDLR.

All estimated construction timelines on TDLR are subject to change at any time. LongHorn Steakhouse operates more than 650 locations across the U.S. 50 of which are in Texas.
