OKLAHOMA CITY (KOKH) — Stepping into Brielle’s Bistro you immediately feel the Louisiana love.

Chef Dwayne Johnson tells FOX 25 that the authenticity, the love put into the food and attention to detail makes Brielle’s unique.

“I like to be known for Cajun and Creole, but we do so much more.” said Johnson.

Brielle’s Bistro has a menu with a little bit of everything for everyone.

Including breakfast all day, traditional foods such as chicken fried steak, meatloaf, and of course Cajun food. You can view their menu here.

Johnson created Brielle’s two years ago.

“Bringing Cajun & creole on an authentic level to Oklahoma City, that’s the inspiration behind it.” said Johnson.

Another big inspiration behind the restaurant is his daughter, Brielle.

Brielle is 2-years-old, she suffers from Arthrogryposis Multiplex Congenita. This condition causes joints to become permanently fixed in a bent or straightened position. It can impact the range and function of joints.

“Her case isn’t as bad as other cases I’ve seen, so we’re thankful for that.” Johnson said.

You can feel the love for Brielle all through the cooking.

Brielle’s Bistro is in Midwest City, but worth the drive.

“We got people that travel from Yukon, Edmond and Guthrie just because it’s great food and it’s good service.” Johnson says, “So just come on out, give us a try.”

You can visit Brielle’s Bistro Tuesday through Sunday at 9205 NE 23rd St.

Chef Johnson also opened Magnolia’s Bistro in Automobile Alley. Open for lunch Monday through Friday 10:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
