ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — An Indian restaurant on John’s Creek Parkway in Suwanee failed a routine health inspection

Hashtag India in Forsyth County scored 49 points and a U for unsatisfactory on Sept. 24. The report says there was slimy, dark green-black mold-like growth in the prep sink, milk, chicken and cauliflower were at unsafe temperatures, and the inspector observed numerous live flies on the chicken.

The owner told us he eliminated the fly problem and corrected every other violation. He said he expects to earn an A on a reinspection.

“We normally do very well and that day is very busy,” Hashtag India owner Reamu Parupalli said.

Firehouse Subs on Satellite Boulevard in Duluth did very well on a routine inspection this week, earning 96 points and an A.

JMAC on North Peachtree Road in Chamblee earned a 100 on its last health inspection. That’s two in a row. Congratulations; they are the winner of our coveted Golden Spatula award. They have been in business for four months and it’s inside a Shell gas station. That means you fuel up on flavor when you come in because everything in the restaurant is made to order. They are known for their smash burgers. They have great chicken wings, and they have some Mexican items on the menu, like tacos. Boy, that’s good!
