The neighborhood is filled with a lot of diversity, and the market offers fresh vegetables and meat. The new store has more variety with things like coffee from Puerto Rico and Mexico. One product is Torta De Leche from El Buen Sabor Bakery, a Salvadoran bakery in Chelsea, Massachusetts.

One of the popular to-go dishes is sancocho soup, made with a combination of meats and root vegetables, Lora said.

Lora is still developing a menu as he figures out what customers are craving. Eventually, meals will be posted daily on social media.

“I am so grateful and so happy with the response,” he said. “(The customers) love and they are giving me good feedback. They thank me because this is something the neighborhood needs.”

Name change

Keeping with the Caribbean theme, a Cuban restaurant which opened this summer in Plymouth needed a new name.

The interior of the former Six Burner Bistro features murals of singers, classic cars and Cuban culture on its walls. One includes the restaurant’s name, Cuba Libre, which its owners had to change to Viva Cuba Restaurant because of a trademark.

The name change was announced on a social media post titled “A new name, the same Cuban heart!”

“We want to make one thing very clear: Only our name is changing — everything else stays the same! We’ll continue to have the same team, the same authentic Cuban flavors, the same food made with love, and the same hospitality you know and enjoy,” the post says.

On the move

Marshalls discount retailer will move from Storrs Street in Concord to Merchants Way, the development off Exit 17 on Interstate 93 that has a Market Basket and New Hampshire Liquor & Wine Outlet.

A sign on the Storrs Street location reads, “We’re moving! Still your favorite store — just with new finds & new deals.”

The opening is slated for 8 a.m. on Oct. 29. The official address is 14 Merchants Way.

Guest wines

Twin Barns Brewing Co. – North Taproom in North Woodstock now offers a selection of wines from Seven Birches Winery, just down the road in Lincoln.

The company can do so after being issued a beverage/wine manufacturer guest tap license by the New Hampshire Liquor Commission.

“Varieties will change so be sure to ask your bartender what is currently available – Cheers!” A post on Facebook says.

Closing note

The sign outside Rossi’s Italian Ristorante & Pizzeria is simple: “43 years of delicious memories. Grazie.”

Yes, the restaurant at 325 Route 104 in New Hampton is sadly permanently closed.

“Thank you from Margo and all of the Rossi’s staff for 43 wonderful years,” a note on Facebook says. “From the bottom of our hearts, we are so grateful for all of the customers who supported us through the years. We will miss you all!”
