Francesco Martucci

One of Miami’s swankiest pizza spots has just been named one of the best in the country.

In its November issue, Food & Wine magazine lists Francesco Martucci in Wynwood as one of the 27 Best Pizzas in America.

The only Miami restaurant to make the list, Francesco Martucci, which opened in January 2026, is the first U.S. location for chef Francesco Martucci, best known for his restaurant I Masanielli in Caserta, Italy. I Masanielli was named the best pizzeria in Italy in 2025.

The Miami restaurant is no stranger to accolades, either. In May, the international guide 50 Top Pizza ranked Miami’s Francesco Martucci as no. 5 on its annual list of the top 50 pizzerias in the United States. La Leggenda in Miami Beach and O ‘Munaciello on Biscayne Boulevard in Miami also made the list, tied at no. 11.

Francesco Martucci is known for its light, airy, meticulously crafted dough, fermented over a long period and hydrated to maintain its lightness as a crust.

Food & Wine praised the method, specifically singling out the restaurant’s Le 7 Consistenze della Cipolla pizza, which will inspire you to think about the lowly onion in all new ways.

“This Italian pizzaiolo steams, fries, and bakes his pies. Try Martucci’s ‘Seven Consistencies of Onion,’ with onion creamed, fermented, crisped, burnt, jammed, gelled, and made into mayonnaise,” the list said.
