Mama Schnitzel is now open in Montreal. The new kosher restaurant builds its whole menu around chicken schnitzel. Diners can get that schnitzel in 18 flavors, on a baguette or in a wrap.
The restaurant operates at 4802 Rue de la Peltrie in the Côte-des-Neiges neighborhood. It shares the address with Burger Ranch, the kosher Israeli fast-food restaurant that YeahThatsKosher covered when it opened in 2023. Both brands are run by the same company.
18 Schnitzel Flavors
The baguette and wrap menu lists 18 schnitzel flavors. The Classic schnitzel starts at CA$17.99. Other flavors include Teriyaki, Za’atar, Garlic Crunch, Hot Honey Crunch, Honey Mustard, Sweet Chili, Harissa Honey Crunch, Pineapple Crunch, Lemongrass, and Cornflakes Crunch. Most sandwiches cost between CA$17.99 and CA$23.99. The list goes beyond chicken schnitzel. Diners can order shawarma, merguez, grilled chicken breast, or a vegan pareve cheddar melt. For CA$5.99 more, any sandwich becomes a meal with fries and a soft drink.
Beyond the Baguette
The same flavors carry across the rest of the menu. Schnitzel fingers come eight pieces to an order in flavors like Sweet and Sour Crunch, Sesame Panko, and Maple, for CA$17.99 to CA$19.99. Wings come 10 pieces to an order for CA$16.99 to CA$19.99. The poutine list covers schnitzel, shawarma, and grilled chicken versions at CA$23.99. Salads come topped with schnitzel, grilled chicken, shawarma, or pargiot for CA$26.99. Plates add fries, Israeli salad, cabbage, hummus, tahini, and amba, and run CA$29.99 to CA$49.99. A kids menu lists a crispy schnitzel, a grilled chicken burger, and a hot dog for CA$6.99 to CA$13.99.

Hours are Monday to Thursday, 4:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., Saturday, 7:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., and Sunday, 3:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. The restaurant is closed on Fridays.
