ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — A bar and grill on Alpharetta Highway in Roswell failed a routine health inspection.

Fiesta in Fulton County scored 58 points and a U for unsatisfactory on Oct. 27. The report says vegetables were sitting on the counter at an unsafe temperature, raw chicken was stored above cheese in the kitchen and there was a mold-like buildup inside the ice machine.

Atlanta News First asked management if it’s still an issue.

“No, there’s no mold. She gave me the option to have Fulton County do a class and I told her I want to do the class,” Manager Oscar Santos said.

The manager said the health department helped train his entire team in food safety. Plus, he showed us how he cleaned up the ice machine and stacked everything correctly in the cooler.

“It is safe to eat here,” Santos said.

He also made sure the inspection was posted properly and said the restaurant recently changed its name to The Giant Quesadilla.

Now to an update in DeKalb County, Touchdown Wings on Church Street in Decatur scores big on a follow-up inspection this week earning 97 points and an A.

Monday Night Brewing on Lee Street in Southwest Atlanta at the Garage earned a 100 on their last health inspection. That’s three in a row.

“Congratulations, they are the winner of our coveted Golden Spatula award,” Reporter Adam Murphy said.

It’s a great spot to watch a ball game because you can get pizza and beer. They have been in this spot for 10 years and it backs up to the Beltline so you can enjoy good food and stand out on their deck, which is nice.

On the menu, they serve pesto pie, Italian sandwiches, smoked wings either buffalo or lemon pepper, and burrata pie which looks great with the ball of cheese wrapped around on top.

“Boy that’s good,” Murphy said.
