Just over two years ago, Rochester welcomed Mochinut and its unique Japanese mochi donuts, Korean hot dogs, and boba drinks to town.

The mochi donut shop took over the Nashville Coop location on South Broadway, and had an immediate buzz as curious locals lined up to try the stretchy, chewy donuts. Now, the business is preparing to say goodbye.

In a heartfelt post to the community, the owners on Mochinut expressed their gratitude and shouted out their regulars who supported them throughout their run:

Rochester — after two years, we‘re closing our doors on September 30. 🍩
Thank you to everyone who came through. For the birthday boxes, the after-school runs, and the regulars we knew by order before you reached the counter.
We’ve loved being part of this community.
We‘re open regular hours through September 30 — if you’ve got a favorite, come grab it one more time. We‘d love to see you before we go.
Thank you for two good years

Mochinut will remain open during regular business hours through Tuesday, September 30th. If you have a favorite donut flavor or want to grab one last boba tea, the owners would love to see you one last time before they pack up for good.
