The great thing about Amarillo is that the city is always growing. Businesses are moving in and opening every day. Not only that, but in any given week, a new restaurant will open its doors. Many of those restaurants become so popular that the need for more than one arises.
Jersey Mike’s History in Amarillo
That is exactly what is happening with one chain in Amarillo, Jersey Mike’s Subs. Jersey Mike’s Amarillo store is located at 2311 S. Georgia St. They have been serving up delicious subs in Amarillo since November 2014. Amarillo realized that one Jersey Mike’s wasn’t enough. Now a second location will be coming to the Yellow City.

According to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, a second Jersey Mike’s location will be opening on Soncy, on the southwest side of Amarillo. The new restaurant will be located at 3562 S. Soncy Rd., Suite 161. It will be next door to Torchy’s Tacos.

Remodeling of the 1,505 sq. ft. building is expected to start in October 2026 and is expected to be completed in early 2027. The estimated cost of the remodel will be $300,000.
We did reach out to Jersey Mike’s for comment about the new location coming to Amarillo, but at the time of publication, we had yet to receive a response.
Jersey Mike’s Subs was founded in 1956 by Michael “Mike” Ingravalo. The first store was opened on the Jersey Shore. Now the restaurant has over 3,500 locations, with a second coming to Amarillo very soon.

Jersey Mike’s Giving Back to Amarillo
Jersey Mike’s has also been a huge supporter of Children’s Miracle Network. For over 10 years, proceeds from Jersey Mike’s Day of Giving have gone to our local CMN to help our local kids.
