ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Restaurants, wineries, breweries, and bakeries across the region came to the Rochester Public Market on Monday night to support Foodlink.
The 21st annual Festival of Food raised money for Foodlink’s programs to fight food insecurity across the 10-county region around Rochester. People came out to the market for all-you-can-eat food and live music by BB Dang. Terra Keller, COO of Foodlink, said it was inspiring to see how many local food businesses came out.
“To have so many restaurants still come out to support us and to put out the food that they don’t get paid for and their staff’s time and talents to support our cause means the world to us, because we couldn’t do this without them,” Keller said.

Also on Monday night, Monroe Community Hospital celebrated its 200th anniversary with live music, food, and fireworks. It happened at the parking lot of the county-owned healthcare facility on East Henrietta Road.
There was live music, fireworks, and an RIT photo shoot. Monday marked the day that the facility, formerly known as County Almshouse, welcomed its first residents. You can learn more here.
