Amid record demand from entrepreneurs, Waterville-based Dirigo Labs has selected 15 startups from a range of industries for its 2026 Dirigo Launch Incubator.
“This cohort spans ag tech to eldercare to food systems to drone management,” Jeff Frank, program manager at Dirigo Labs, told Mainebiz. (Scroll down for the list.)
“These are founders solving specific problems specific to their expertise, and they’re choosing to build here,” he added.
Frank also noted that two of the founders hold Ph.Ds, one is a medical doctor, and several others have advanced degrees.
“These founders represent the talent and expertise currently in the Maine entrepreneurial network,” he said.

Designed for early-stage entrepreneurs, the program aims to help founders validate ideas, engage with customers, refine business models and develop the skills needed to transform concepts into viable ventures.
The program is administered by the Central Maine Growth Council.
