Summer brings plenty of heat, but for seasoned locals—well, mostly seasoned—braving the warm months has its perks. Off-season dining deals make venturing out worthwhile, letting us enjoy restaurants we usually avoid when the crowds are thick. These dining experiences are a well-earned reward for sticking around all year.

Take advantage of the areas’ finest eateries with menus at reduced pricing—and there are a couple of wallet-pleasing specials. Sea Salt offers a buy-one, get-one three-course meal on Thursdays and Fridays for $49. At Bistro821, two diners can each enjoy an entrée such as grilled mahi-mahi or an 8-ounce grilled Wagyu sirloin and share a bottle of chardonnay or cabernet sauvignon for $59 per couple; it also offers the deal pro-rated for one person.

All specials are priced per person unless otherwise noted. Don’t be shy about letting your server know you are there to enjoy the summer or early dining specials. Some deals may not be offered on holidays or during special Fifth Avenue events, so call ahead to be sure. Pricing is accurate as of this printing, but is subject to change.

And, of course, don’t skimp on tipping—remember that servers are working on reduced take-home tips due to the off-season deals that you enjoy.
