ATLANTA — Two people were shot overnight, and police are investigating two more scenes they believe are connected.

Dozens of officers blocked off Howell Mill Road at Chattahoochee Avenue in northwest Atlanta. Channel 2’s Darryn Moore reported as police processed the crime scene throughout Channel 2 Action News This Morning starting at 4 a.m.
One witness said she heard the gunfire and saw several people on the ground.

Lt. Christapher Butler told Channel 2’s Darryn Moore that two people were shot on the road in front of the Daiquiri Factory.
A 31-year-old man was shot in the head and is in critical condition. Another man was shot in the arm and is stable.
Butler said the restaurant is cooperating with the investigation.
Police also found a car miles away on Peters Street in downtown Atlanta that they believe is connected to the shooting. Another car found on Detroit Ave was set on fire.
Management at the Daquiri Factory said in a statement that the shooting did not happen at or directly in front of the restaurant.
There was also no argument, altercation or dispute inside the establishment related to the incident, they said.
