Danone USA recalled select pints of So Delicious Dairy Free ice cream on Tuesday, Sept. 15, “due to the potential presence of foreign materials,” the FDA said.
The company has headquarters in White Plains, New York, and Louisville, Colorado.
The FDA said that “small stones and other hard objects” were found in the non-dairy ice cream along with cashews.
The recall specifically affects containers of So Delicious Dairy Free’s Salted Caramel Cluster Non-Dairy Frozen Dessert.
No other So Delicious Dairy Free flavors or products are included in the recall.
Danone USA said it identified the issue after receiving complaints from customers.
“Danone USA is working with retail partners to remove affected product from shelves,” the company said. “Unaffected product is still available on shelves, and product shipped going forward is not affected by this recall.”

According to the FDA, pint-size containers of the following product have been recalled:

The recall applies to pints with “best by” dates on and before April 3, 2028.

The recalled frozen dessert was “distributed to retail stores within the United States,” the FDA said.
The product was sold at select Walmart stores and Target locations as well as online at Target.com. the retailers said.

If you bought a recalled So Delicious Dairy Free product, “do not consume it,” the FDA said.
