Another great Maine food festival is coming!

One of the great things about summertime in Maine is the incredible number of food festivals we have each year. From Moxie and lobster to whoopie pies, clams, and red snapper hot dogs, there is pretty much something for everyone.

And now, thereโ€™s another delicious reason to hop in the car and take one last summer road trip.

The 3rd Annual Maine Poutine Fest is a celebration of the French-Canadian classic, poutine โ€” a dish of French fries and cheese curds topped with brown gravy.

But this isnโ€™t your average plate of poutine. At the festival, youโ€™ll find all kinds of creative takes on the classic, including BBQ pulled pork, buffalo chicken, pizza, and more.

All the fun goes down this Saturday, September 19th, from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Thompsonโ€™s Point in Portland.

Vendors from all over Maine will be serving up their own spins on this delicious dish, and attendees can sample poutine from participating restaurants.

The restaurants will also compete for the coveted โ€œBest Poutine of the Festโ€ title. Only one will get to take home the championship belt!

The festival will also feature music, beer, games, childrenโ€™s activities, and food trucks serving up plenty of other treats.
