District foodies have four new destinations to add to their maps.
The prestigious Michelin Guide has revealed four new restaurants you’ll want to put on your bucket list heading into fall.
In Adams Morgan, the guide added Rye Bunny, a brand new venue that also made the New York Times’ list of America’s 50 best restaurants.
According to Michelin’s editors, Rye Bunny features a “casual, farmhouse vibe” and “American comfort foods with contemporary twist.”
Staying in the neighborhood known for its lively nightlife, the French-inspired Maison Bar a Vins was also added to the guide. Described as “chic yet intimate,” Maison Bar a Vins offers dishes that editors describe as “simple” yet “bold and surprising in flavor.”
Moving over to Mount Pleasant, Michelin’s editors tabbed Bar del Monte for inclusion in their guide. Located in a small alley, Bar del Monte offers a rotating cast of pizzas among its array of Italian dishes. The editors recommend the anchovy and squash blossom pizza if it’s available.
The final new addition to the guide is Elcielo Bistro DC in Union Market. The editors described the restaurant’s offering as a “more accessible take on Latin American Cuisine” compared to neighboring Elcielo Washington DC. Both restaurants focus on Colombian inspired dishes.
