Cheyenne, Wyo. – Laramie County Community College’s Talon’s Table looks a little different this year.

Director of Dining Services, Shawn Eby, tells Wyoming News Now one of these changes is digital menus.

“We added TVs to every station so at every station it will list out what is at that station. And what is really nice is it connects to our online menu.” says Eby “So, if for some reason I run out of lemon chicken. I can get rid of it immediately on an app and it will show up online and maybe now it’s dino nuggets cause that’s what everybody likes.”

LED lights have also been installed to allow for more decoration during the holidays. Eby says he is excited to be able to coordinate the colors with the holidays.

Talon’s Table also sees “Dinner and a Movie” every month. For this event, LCCC has a large blow-up screen in the cafeteria. People can come and enjoy a movie while experiencing food related to the showing.

“One of our big ones is dinner and a movie. So, we play a movie, we do a big blow-up screen and people come in, we serve during the movie” says Eby.

Overall Eby is excited to see everyone utilize Talon’s Table because his team gets to make personal connections with guests.

“I feel like we are kind of the face for everyone. This is where everyone comes and kind of hangs out and has a little fun time, right? So we get to know students and we see them three times a day or even the general public. We have several that come in all the time.”

The dining hall is open to the public, provides a rotating meal schedule, and gives a variety of options.
