VIRGINIA — Grandma’s restaurant in Virginia will be shuttered at the end of the month, according to a news release from the company.
Grandma’s Restaurant Company on Friday announced it would not renew the lease for its Virginia location in 2027. The restaurant will close its doors effective Sept. 27.
Affected employees will be given priority for relocation to the company’s Duluth locations, including Grandmas Saloon & Grill, Little Angie’s Cantina, Bellisio’s Italian Restaurant & Wine Bar, The Garden Wedding & Event Center, and the Adventure Zone Family Fun Center.
“We are profoundly grateful for the relationship we have shared with the Virginia community over the last 35 years,” management said in the release. “While this closure brings an end to a wonderful era on the Iron Range, we want to assure our longtime fans that this is not a final goodbye. There will always be a warm welcome and a table waiting for them at our Canal Park restaurants.”
